$SPY finally closed down 1.08%, ending a 53-day streak of not closing below -0.84%. $VIX remains on a 54-day streak of not closing above 17.84.

The $SPY finally closed below -.84% or lower (official mark today was -1.08%). This now ends a 53 day consecutive streak of not doing so. And I can stop tweeting about it. However the $VIX is still on consecutive day 54 of not closing above 17.84 itself. Came close today…

Fun charting of $VIX noting similarities to 2018 with Q1 pop, vol suppression into midterms, and questioning a possible October pop.

$VIX Don't chart the VIX, it's not a stock. We get it. Buuuuuut if you do (for fun), make it look as pretty as possible. 👇
