@jimcramer: high fear is normally attractive, but buyers are needed for CoreWeave bonds, Oracle stock and SK Hynix; SK Hynix is the epicenter of fear since the Kospi is still up over 50% and many are under water.

High level of fear would normally be attractive. But you have to find buyers of Coreweave bonds, Oracle common stock and SK Hynix, of course. The latter is the epicenter of fear because the Kospi is still up more than 50% so lots of people under water

@DiMartinoBooth) D@donnelly_brent: AI capex fears, memory glut and payoff questions drive selling of favorites (CRWV, ORCL, MU, SNDK), and if large enough bonds rally; the US economy rides on AI capex, so financial wobbles hit the real economy.

You can see that the market is moving towards a framework where: AI capex fears / memory glut / AI payoff questions lead to selling of the various favorites (CRWV, ORCL, MU, SNDK) and if that move becomes large enough, bonds start to rally.
This makes sense to me. The US economy is riding high like a one-legged stool with AI capex just about the entire story for the stock market and for GDP. If the financial vibes wobble, the real economy side is going to wobble too.

1. Q3 2026 earnings season got underway with reports from JPMorgan $JPM, Goldman Sachs $GS, Citigroup $C, and Wells Fargo $WFC, delivering a mixed but generally resilient picture for the banking sector. Goldman Sachs led the group with a standout quarter, posting its second-best revenue quarter ever as equities trading surged 72%, while Citigroup reported its strongest third quarter in a decade, driven by strength in services, wealth management, and equities. JPMorgan delivered a rare earnings miss despite raising its 2026 net interest income outlook, and Wells Fargo beat on earnings but missed on revenue. Across the sector, banks continued to describe the U.S. consumer as resilient, highlighted ongoing AI-driven corporate investment, raised or maintained optimistic net interest income expectations, and pointed to strong equity trading activity, while cautioning that sticky inflation, higher-for-longer interest rates, elevated valuations, and geopolitical risks remain key challenges heading into 2027.
2. Bank of America said 10-year U.S. Treasury yields may need to approach 6% before investors meaningfully rotate out of stocks and into bonds, according to its latest Global Fund Manager Survey. The survey found 76% of respondents expect the Fed to leave rates unchanged in October, while technology allocations climbed to their highest level since August 2020 and long semiconductors remained the market’s

A TON OF THINGS HAPPENED IN THE STOCK MARKET TODAY.
Here's a full recap:
1. OpenAI told investors its annualized revenue was approaching $50B at the end of September, according to the Financial Times, below the roughly $70B figure that had been widely reported last month. The discrepancy reportedly reflects differences in accounting methods, with Anthropic including revenue generated through cloud partners such as AWS and Google Cloud, while OpenAI does not. Investors had attempted to adjust OpenAI’s figures to make them comparable with Anthropic’s, contributing to the higher estimate. The report weighed on AI infrastructure sentiment, with several semiconductor stocks falling roughly 5–7% as investors reassessed near-term AI spending expectations. OpenAI declined to comment.
2. The September FOMC meeting minutes showed that most Federal Reserve officials expect another interest rate hike by year-end, reinforcing the central bank’s higher-for-longer stance. All 19 Fed officials supported the September rate hike, reflecting unanimous concern that inflation remains above target. The minutes also said almost all policymakers believe inflation risks remain tilted to the upside, with several officials warning that the accelerating AI investment boom could increase demand faster than supply, adding to inflationary pressures.
3. Elon Musk said today that he sees an extraordinary long-term future for $SPCX SpaceX, writing: “This will sound super crazy, but I see a path to SpaceX
