@amitisinvesting: per the FT, Anthropic Q3 revenue was $16.8B vs $11.5B in Q2, up 46% QoQ; Nasdaq futures are hammered after hours and semis keep sliding as Wall Street is unimpressed.

FINANCIAL TIMES:
- ANTHROPIC Q3 REVENUE COMES IN AT $16.8B
- Q2 REVENUE WAS $11.5B, REVENUE GREW 46% QoQ
Well, Nasdaq Futures are getting hammered after hours and the Semis continue their downslide because it seems like Wall Street is not impressed…especially if these are the numbers for a $2T IPO.

@amitisinvesting: hyperscalers cutting capex would mean less bond issuance competing with Treasuries but also lower semi stocks; in practice big tech wants to spend more on capex.

basically. hyperscalers pulling back on capex means less bond issuance which is less competition with treasuries
that also means less capex = semi stocks go down
now…my theory academically might make sense but practically, we know that big tech wants to spend more on capex
but its like the bond market wants them to spend less so the issuances stop getting so competitive which can finally allow them to buy a bond at 5.2% and not compete with meta’s bonds at 7%
all pointing to semis needing to go down for bonds to go up…but if that doesnt happen, bonds will go down, yields will go up, and at what yield does the stock market in general say enough is enough…aka can we handle 6% yields on a 10yr
only way to have some relief is for oil to come down but thats based on the war
