@michaelsikand: $PENG just unlocked this brand new asymmetric lever and it's genius.
Previously the company was pushing sovereign AI as the main customer set for their AI infra division but per this ER they're now focused on neoclouds which is a WAY bigger opportunity. 4 of the 6 new AI infrastructure customers in Q4 were neoclouds.
These neoclouds are basically hiring $PENG as the AI factory in a box. Many of these neoclouds aren't full stack and instead just finance shops. They line up the multi-billion dollar compute deal with a hyperscaler or lab and hire $PENG to get them the hardware, set up the infra and maintain it for 5 years. One neocloud just hired them to build and run a 36,000 GPU factory in Norway backed by a $10B lab commit.
This is killer for $PENG because services made about a 49% gross margin last reported quarter, roughly double the 24% on hardware, and those contracts stick around for years.
Only about 10% of $PENG's revenue in Q4 came from services. But $1 of service revenue generates the same profit as $2 for hardware, meaning this is a strong EPS lever if it scales with these huge cluster deals from neoclouds.
@amitisinvesting: A TON OF THINGS HAPPENED IN THE STOCK MARKET TODAY.
Here's a full recap:
1. SpaceX $SPCX is reportedly seeking $40B in financing, led by Apollo, to fund a massive purchase of NVIDIA $NVDA AI chips, according to the Financial Times. The proposed financing includes roughly $10B in bank loans and $30B of investment-grade debt, with the transaction expected to close in 2027. Elon Musk said in August that SpaceX had “decided to build exclusively on NVIDIA,” specifically highlighting the company's Vera Rubin architecture as SpaceX accelerates investment in AI compute and data center infrastructure.
2. AMD $AMD CEO Lisa Su said AI compute demand continues to outpace supply and expects strong demand to persist for the next several years, with AMD planning to substantially increase supply in 2027. Su said AMD has already expanded supply this year but “could definitely use more,” thanking TSMC for bringing additional manufacturing capacity online while noting that memory remains broadly supply constrained. She added that AMD is working closely with memory suppliers and customers to ensure capacity ramps in sync while keeping its current business model unchanged. Su also described Taiwan as “very critical” to AMD, saying the company plans to increase its investment there while continuing to explore new packaging technologies.
3. Uber $UBER is acquiring ezCater for $2.3B in cash, expanding Uber Eats into the workplace catering market. ezCater has more than 140,000 restaurant partnersStrongly aligned bullish. No clearly opposing views so far.
